A Journey of Passion and Purpose
Founded by Ruyi Shao, an ecological entrepreneur and native of Anhui, QiYue began as a simple dream: to make the cleanest, most soulful rice wine in China.
After studying sustainable agriculture abroad, Ruyi returned to her hometown determined to revitalize traditional farming and brewing practices. Starting with just a small plot of land and her grandmother's rice wine recipe, she began experimenting with organic methods and traditional fermentation.
Today, that dream has grown into a movement of people who believe in craft, community, and a return to nature. QiYue now works with dozens of local farmers, preserving ancient techniques while creating sustainable livelihoods in rural China.
